ECE Department Suggestions

This is a list of things the ECE Department could improve to assist students and a general method for student feedback

ECE Computer Labs

• Ball Mouses are out of style, Optics all the way !
• Optical mouse compatible mouse pads, i.e. not the current mouse pads
• Linking Faculty Office Hours and Courses Taught Pages to the Faculty Page

• Install SmartSVN Client/ Server on Windows machines ,
  • They do have the ECE accounts working, check LearnSvn tutorial

• get a better ZIP file,
• Lifetime E-mail forwarding like the business schools
• More than 300MB of home directory space, Hard Drives keep getting cheaper !
• Getting Remote Desktop working again on the ECE computers

ECE 2nd Labs

• Machine Shop Access should be setup through the Checkout Counter
• Checkout Lab Equipment like NI-DAQ instruments or Logic Analyzer

ECE Advising

• Give Registered Students access to Ask Questions through an online forum, (all questions can be screeened)
• Post Statistics of how many people take certain classes, to prepare students for waitlists

ECE Student Organizations

• Promote Students to Join a student organization or get involved with Research by offering more undergrad research courses such as Santoso's Cross Senior Design Project

ECE Department

• Have Seminar Session similar to 155 for all of the ECE Department
