Joining RAS

Meetings

General meetings are usually held at RLM 6.104, every other Tuesday at 7 p.m. Make sure to check our Calendar for updated information. Everybody is welcome to attend.

There are specific times and dates to discuss every competition we participate in, so make sure to follow up on that as well.

When is the Best Time to Join?

College freshmen and those with no robotics experience are encouraged to join early Fall semester, as we set up a competition, Robotathon for new members to learn. If you hear about us RAS late, don't worry. We are always willing to teach those who are dedicated. New members can be of any classification.

Come Visit!

The RAS office, otherwise known as the trailer, is in ENS 149. The best way for you to get involved with RAS is to stop by and see what projects being worked on interest you.

People are here all throughout the day and night, either working on a robot for competition or their own creation.

No experience Required

You don't have to have prior robotics experience or be an electrical engineering student to join. RAS consists of mostly engineering students, along with computer science students. Any major is welcome. We will teach you programming, mechanical design, and everything you need to know to build your first robot!
