Two of the high school teams that the IEEE Robotics & Automation Society has been mentoring for the BEST Competition had success competing with 20 other teams at the local hub competition this weekend at Akins High School.

Anderson High School won the following:
- 2nd Place in the Robot Competition
- 3rd Place for the BEST Award
- Sportsmanship Award (for lending tools on competition day and inviting other teams to use our practice course)
- Highest Scoring Robot (321 points in one round for scoring 8 bottles, by one of our amazing drivers, David Rich)
- Young Gun Award (from the LASA Robotics team for being the best team, younger than 3 years old)
- Advance to Regional Competition at Texas Tech in Lubbock for 2nd place finish in competition!

Huntington-Surrey won the following:
- 4th Place BEST Award
- Best Competition Attire
- Best Creative Performance/Skit
- Also advance to Regional Competition at Texas Tech in Lubbock!
